The Information Assurance Manager supports the Network Engineering Team (contractor and US Government) to ensure that the designed Network Solution will be inherently secure and IP-based security mechanisms are integrated into existing features and capabilities in the GIG DoD IA requirements, IA and Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) procedures. Develops processes and procedures to ensure that designed network shall incorporates IA criteria for the components provided within this Delivery Order IAW applicable Army regulations (ARs), DoD regulations, and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Shall organize and participate with the USG’s site IA representatives in an IAWG to determine specific IA requirements. IA Manager shall provide IA support during quarterly reviews to coordinate and facilitate the IA accreditation process. If required, develop documentation to provide sufficient information for the USG to initiate a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) to obtain UC APL acceptance and/or a CoN should proposed components and/or software are not on the UC APL or do not have a CoN.
Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience. Seven years of relevant experience is required if candidate does not possess a Bachelor’s degree. Training and certifications that meet the Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II), per Department of Defense (DoD) 8570.01-M. Must be very knowledgeable in DoD, DoDI 8500.2, Information Assurance (IA) Implementation, 6 February 2003; DoD, DoDI 8510.01, Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Program (DIACAP), 28 November 2007; HQDA, AR 25-2, Information Assurance, 24 October 2007. Rapid Action Revision (RAR), 23 March 2009. Highly effective in Oral and Written communication.
Required Clearance: Secret
Desired: Prior military or US Army customer experience; Knowledge or experience in US Army networks and ISP/OSP Infrastructure. CISSP and Knowledge, skill, and aptitude of the following is highly desired: Operations Security, Network Security, Security Infrastructure Design/Analysis, System Security Assessment/Planning, Development of Security Policies/Guidelines and Risk Mitigation Strategies, Technical Writing or Network Infrastructure Life Cycle Process.
