Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Planning Specialist II to serve as a Project Coordinator in the Facilities Planning & Management department.
This position is responsible for processing all project requests for Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) services; administering the transition of requests and serves as liaison between departments and FP&M; assuring that funding sources are valid and that proper purchasing procedures are utilized as required by the funding source. This position also supports procurement responsibilities in the absence of the FP&M Buyer and as needed to handle the work load as well as disburse projects to Design staff, as needed.
The successful candidate will possess good communication and organizational skills; great attention to detail; the ability to interact with a variety of clients; work independently; and contribute to a team environment.
Bachelor's degree and 1 year experience OR a combination of related education and experience totaling 5 years.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Experience in office administration and management
- Experience in a construction or design firm
- Experience using a scheduling software package
