SSAI seeks an experienced Proposal Professional to support its New Business/proposal efforts. The successful candidate will be a member of SSAI's Senior Management Staff and an active member of the Business Developement department. He/She will be responsible for the following activities:
-Provide leadership and management for the development of proposals in response to Government RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Task Order proposal requests.
-Provide writing leadership and hands-on writing contributions consistent with proposal strategy and themes to deliver responses to Government RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Task Order proposal requests.
-Participate in strategy sessions with Business Development and technical teams to establish selling features to address in the proposal.
-Work with managers, scientists, engineers, IT professionals, analysts, and other subject matter experts through interviews or extrapolation of new or existing material to gather and understand information to facilitate writing, integrating, editing and producing proposal content.

Required Qualifications:

-BS in technical area plus 10 years experience in managing and writing technical and selling proposal documents.
-Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
-Must have experience working with the Shipley Proposal Methodology or like methodology.
-Must have experience with and understand the entire suite of proposal activities (RFI response, DRFP/RFP analysis, proposal outline and schedule development, win theme development, technical writing, graphics development, organization, compliance review, Prime/subcontractor interface, configuration management, editing and production).

Desired Qualifications:

Hands-on experience managing/developing proposals for professionals services (science, engineering and IT) in NASA, NOAA, and other Federal Government Agencies.
