The Psychiatric Technician performs assigned patient care tasks and other related unit duties, defined, and delegated under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. Functions effectively in emergency and stressful situations e.g. remains calm. Uses least to most restrictive strategies to de-escalate patients e.g. implements behavioral contract, restraints, seclusion at the direction of the RN; remains objective
