POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.Counsels students and other referred clients on life problems. Counseling includes testing, problem diagnosis, and remedial procedures.
2.Plans and coordinates the clinic's day treatment program in order to ensure effective clinical services to patients with dual diagnosis.
3.Supervises and coordinated the day-to-day clinic activities in order to assure that the clinic is operated in an effective manner.
4.Provides clinical evaluations and individual therapy to patients in order to assure the assessment and appropriate treatment of problems diagnosed.
5.Develops and implements new programs such as behavior modification, compliance training, and pre-vocational training.
6.Develops the annual operating budget.
7.Acts as interdisciplinary team leader to facilitate optimal care of patients. Documents all counseling activities in order to ensure accurate records and follow-up dates are maintained.
8. Other duties as assigned
Master's degree in social work, education, nursing, or psychology with two years experience as a counselor or clinical psychologist. TEA certified is preferred.
Experience working with children and adolescents.
M.A. in social work or psychology preferred.
