Must have experience in a quality full service hotel in the Puchasing/Receiving Department or similar operation. You must be a great leader and employees naturally desire to work with you. You must be able to live and breathe four to five diamond service and truly understand what FLAWLESS EXECUTION means. Scope of this Position

BASIC FUNCTION: The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for receiving, counting, weighing and inspecting all goods received. The Purchasing Supervisor will assist the Purchasing Manager and Director of Purchasing in ensuring a smooth running and eficient storeroom.

Ensure that all products received and issued are of the highest quality and purchased at the lowest price available.

Keep control of the assets by maintaining a safe and secure storeroom.

Keep all food and beverage items up to par in the F&B storerooms.

Make sure that all items are issued on authorized requisitions. Totals and compiles the completed requisitions which are given to Cost Control in a timely manner.

Keep file of all weekly bids for produce, fish and meat as supplied by the Purchasing Agent.

Assist in maintaining daily inventories of food and liquor, including showing current stock, PAR stock levels, purchase price and expected delivery date.

Coordinate the flow of daliy food requisitions through the food storeroom.

Maintain an open and professional line of communication with all vendors, chefs, and employees.

Assist with the training of new and current employees.

Check nightly that the storerooms and dock areas are clean.

Assist with month end inventories.

Report returns of inferior goods and shorted delivery of goods to the Manager.

Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by management.

Assist in the General Storeroom as needed. Requirements

Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum one year experience in the purchasing field

Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Familiar with inspection procedures for food and beverage items.

Excellent organizational skills.

Good communication skills. . Compensation
