Position Title: Purchasing Assistant - Student Employee
Department : Great Lakes Culinary Institute (3150)
Student employees must maintain enrollment of six (6) NMC credits during fall and spring semesters, and a minimum of three (3) NMC credit during summer semester to be eligible for student employment.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the purchasing agent and Great Lakes Culinary Institute staff by stocking shelves with incoming orders, fulfilling market orders for chef instructors, cleaning and organizing of hallways, coolers, and kitchens.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
To be eligible for student employment in a semester, the student must be enrolled half time during that semester (minimum NMC academic credits: 6 for fall; 6 for spring; 3 for summer).
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience using Internet, email, and calendaring software
Knowledge of food and beverage products
WORK HOURS :
This is a part-time, NMC student position. Applicants with availability on Friday’s will be given preference.
