Shoutlet is a leading enterprise social media company and we’re looking for a Senior Python Developer to work at our Milwaukee, WI office.

Work with senior programmers on our social platform and analytics engine (using Python, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB)

Work as a team member on an agile scrum team, understanding how a team operates and what is expected of the various roles on the project; this includes the ability to take direction and knowing when to ask for help

Rapidly produce interim deliverables (such as style prototypes, technical proofs of concept, etc.)

Take initiative to research and learn emerging technologies

Follow and promote best programming practices and current web standards

3-5 years professional development experience

An undergraduate degree in computer information technology, computer engineering, or commensurate experience

Extensive knowledge of Python (both 2.7 and 3.x versions) and their respective libraries

Experience writing services that can scale with large amounts of data

Experience working with Mongo/NoSQL and Postgres Databases

Experience with Socket, I/O level programming

Experience with threading and multiprocessing, as well as knowing when to use which

Experience working with 3rd party (Facebook, twitter, etc.) APIs a plus

Knowledge of web development (PHP is helpful)
