Responsible for looking across Pearson's multiple production lines and evaluating the current automation status and making a decision on the best automation strategies for functional areas that do not have automation in place yet. Also, you will need to propose for the future automation directions and strategies.
Work with the project team to determine the test scope required for each release.
Determine the selection and usage of test tools and data collection tools used by DEV & QA to test and measure the overall quality of each product.
Generate test strategies and plans, including automation and manual.
Develop and maintain Automation Framework; and select the best automation toolkits.
Deliver automation test suite under the agile development environment.
Continuously improve test efficiency.
Work with development team to get instrumental builds and collect test coverage data for major functional areas.
Perform the analysis automated test results and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and executive management.
Manage testing progress and ensure that aggressive deadlines are met.
Provide Manual Test support wherever needed
Over 8 years direct experience as a quality engineers or software engineer for major application integration or major application product release.
Working experience on Selenium, Cucumber, Jasmine, REST, Cuke4Duke, SoapUI and other automation tools.
Programming skills in Java, .Net, C++, Ruby, JSON highly preferred
Strong knowledge of system testing metrics, best practices and methodologies.
Direct hands-on experience with testing tools, and reporting software.
Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent cross functional communication experience working with multiple project teams.
Experience in Subversion, Fisheye/Crucible, and Hudson.
Experience in Rally, Jira, and other TMS.
Excellent understanding of the Agile SDLC.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with both on & off shore engineering teams.
