QA Specialist 3 - QA/QC Training Specialist at our Jenkinsville, SC job site.

Job Description:

This position assists in the execution of the project Site Quality Organization training and qualification program. Specifically, supports the Quality Inspection Program and Site Quality Organization at the assigned project and ensures that the project team of qualified inspection and test personnel has adequate indoctrination, training and initial QA Inspector Certifications and re-Certifications as required to complete assigned inspections. Coordinates with the HR Department for the prerequisite personnel education and work history verification to enable the initial QC Inspector Certifications. Coordinates with the QC Inspection Supervisors for QC Inspector current inspection activities to support re-Certification (maintenance of certification). Provides support on Quality Assurance indoctrination and orientation training as well as specialized quality training for on-site project staff. Supports development of Project QA/QC training programs and maintains training program current to include training materials, tests, and equipment. Coordinates with other QA and QC departments to ensure quality document updates are factored into the QC training program/plans as necessary to ensure that the appropriate elements of the Quality Program are continuously addressed by current training plans. Provides periodic quality training program status reports to the Project Quality Director, QC Engineering Manager, QC Manager, QA Project Manager and QA Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements:

The candidate needs to possess strong computer skills and should demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills. Desired skill set should include a good working knowledge and understanding of 10CFR50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1 QA program requirements.

Experience utilizing Learning Management Systems; such as CB&I Talent Connection, is preferred.

Attention to detail, excellent and intermediate understanding of database functionality. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Manages time to meet objectives and recognizes possible impact on related functions. Able to understand and assess level of effort required for each training project and work within schedule to complete assignments. Supervisor skills with proactive problem solving abilities with a high quality work ethic; provides recommendations and dedicated to performing at a high level of quality. Contributes to achievement of team goals and promotes teamwork. Candidate has between 3 - 15 years relevant experience.

This position requires an AS/AA and a minimum of five (5) years technical training experience, or High School Diploma/General Education Development Equivalent (GED) and a minimum of ten (10) years of training experience in related fields; design, licensing, quality, construction or operation of nuclear facilities (e.g., power, waste, weapons, medical).

Candidate should possess:

1) Qualified Instructor/Developer skills and 2) Experience with a Systematic Approach to Training Implementation: Training Analysis, Development, Design, Instruction and Evaluation.

Candidate should possess working knowledge and understanding of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1 QA Program requirements; 10 CFR Part 21 and 10 CFR Part 55(e) and associated codes and standards associated with the areas of QA/QC activities in nuclear engineering design, procurements and general construction inclusive of project management practices to support nuclear power plant construction.

Candidate should have experience on a previous nuclear construction site(s).

Additionally, the candidate should be experienced in interacting and developing and maintaining positive relationships with Client personnel and external regulators such as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
