DESCRIPTION

GENERAL FUNCTION: Coordinates and supervises the administration of a uniform records system for documentation, maintenance and disposition of student's records using the Center Information System (CIS).

DUTIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Ensures that statistical data is maintained on all students reflecting Career Preparation and Career Development to include academic progress, skills levels and pay status during the total enrollment period at the Center.*2. Ensures that the student accountability program is maintained in accordance to PRH guidelines.*3. Develops statistical employment data on all categorical separations.*4. Ensure a uniform system is in place to account for and document the whereabouts and participation of students during their job corps enrollment.*5. Ensure the Center has an effective system for granting leaves to students during their enrollment.*6. Ensure a uniform system is in place for issuing student allowances and transition payments earned through participation and achievement.*7. Ensures students can articulate the allowance system and the relationship of their achievements to the transition payment they may receive at separation. *8. Ensures an effective system is in place to provide students with economical and expedient transportation during enrollment.9. Ensures that all student incentives, infractions, assessments, and sanctions are documented and recorded using the Center Information System, and provides a fair and accurate assessment of each student's vocational training knowledge before a student moves from the Career Development Program into the Career Transition Program.10. Ensures that student record information is maintained current and entered into the CIS on a timely basis.11. Ensures that employability skills, attitudes and knowledge is practiced and integrated into all phases of career development and student life on Center to ensure life career success.12. Ensures the integration of the Career Success Standards into the center's CDSS Plan.13. Ensures that employability skills, attitudes and knowledge is practiced and integrated into all phases of career development and student life on Center.14. Guides and promotes safe work performance by developing safety systems, policies and procedures, communications and recognition for subordinates in areas supervised.15. Describe goals, performance expectations and standards, and articulate how their individual performance supports the admission, career preparation, career development and career transition of students.OTHER FUNCTIONS: *1. Develops job performance standards and work assignments which monitor the work performance of the department.*2. Exhibits behaviors and best practices that are consistent with the vision and values of the company.*3. Practices social skills and behavior management with students and staff that are consistent with the Job Corps Social Skills Training Program and Behavior Management System.*4. Works as part of the team to assure that Performance Outcome Measurement Report Card goals are obtained.*5. Operates Center vehicles to provide transportation for students as assigned/needed.*6. Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned by designated and/or authorized staff.This job description does not list all the duties of the job. QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Education, Office Administration, Office Information Management, Public Administration or Records Management and seven years of experience in Counseling, Public Administration, Testing, Placement or Records Management in a line or functional supervisory role. OR A High school Diploma or GED equivalent required and 11 years experience in Counseling, Public Administration, Testing, Placement or Records Management in a line or functional supervisory role. Substitution: Education and experience above the high school level may be combined to meet the minimum requirements for this position. One year of college education may be substituted for two years of Job Corps experience or experience in a similar area. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ** Effective verbal and written communication skills** Effective organizational skills** Effective interpersonal skills** Classroom instruction and curriculum development** Ability to interpret data and analyze its use within educational programs Licenses or Certificates: ** Valid Regular Driver License is required.
