Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a contract to hire job opportunity with a leading company in Santa Clara, Ca. A global Electronics Manufacturing Services provider is searching for a Quality Assurance Inspector - swing shift.

In this position candidates will be responsible to ensure high quality for the processes they are monitoring. The Inspector must ensure that the assemblies meet acceptable requirements before they are sent to the next process. It is the responsibility of the Inspector to stop the process if quality levels are not acceptable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scan boards and/or units for damagaed, open shorts, missing components, solder on gold fingers, or other defects. Detect and identify rejected causes; sent rejects to be repaired. Stop the line when reject levels exceed team's quality plan.
Make sure equipment is in good condition and necesary tools are available at the workstations.
Keep work surfaces clean and tidy. Check the workstation is ESD protected.
Post-solder Inspector - Inspect pin-thru hold components, feedback to wave-operator/assembler of continuous defects, quick checking of SM components. If common defects are found give feedback to team leader and process engineer for further actions. Verification of boards, inspect cards while in production and record all defects in Quality Control report.
Final Visual Inspector - Inspecting of the finished product, check if anything is missing on marking, stamps, label, final hardware assembling; no defects are to be present.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

5-7 years of relevant experience in the area of inspection, in an electronics (PCB Boards) manufacturing environment.
Current (copy of valid certificate required) IPC 610 & 620 certification.
Good computer skills: (i.e. excel, word, outlook) ability to communicate through email, document quality issues in systems.
Communication skills - ability to read, speak and understand English.
Working experience in an ISO9001/ISO 13485 environment.
Good understanding of SMT-Wave soldering and mechanical assembly processes.
ADA - Ability to sit for 80% of the shift.
ADA - Ability to look through microscope and magnifying lenses for 90% of shift.
