Packaging – Western Campus in Santa Fe Springs, CA is
currently looking for a Quality Manager / EHS Manager
who will oversee the development and maintenance of
quality systems that meet or exceed customer
requirements with such standards as: ISO 9000, AIB, FDA,
cGMP as required. Will also be responsible for
developing safety programs, overseeing and managing all
aspects of safety in order to provide a safe working
environment for all employees. The position is
responsible for environmental management in order to be
in compliance with current laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and execution of the
overall quality vision and strategy.
  • Communicates customer quality expectations and /or
complaints to all levels of the organization.
  • Oversees and prepares summary quality reports,
charts and graphs for continuous communications and
identifies trends.
  • Supports locations in leading complaint
investigation and resolution of quality issues to
root cause.
  • Facilitates improvements to eliminate quality issues
or waste in the process.
  • Support in the development, writing and maintenance
of quality related policies, guidelines, processes
and procedures. Includes working with all relevant
parties to improve processes through Lean thinking.
  • Periodically audits and recommends improvements to
the Quality manual and all standard operating
  • Support in new product development
efforts/activities to identify potential quality
issues prior to production.
  • Participates in external customer audits.
  • Assists in quality related training for continuous
quality and productivity improvements.
  • Maintains knowledge by attending seminars/workshops,
reviewing professional publications establishing
personal networks, and participating in professional
  • Drive accountability around safety policies and
safety decisions.
  • Manage Hazardous Waste in accordance with all
applicable regulations.
  • Utilize Chemical Information Management Systems to
evaluate new products and to determine compliance
  • Conduct Industrial Health (I.H.) exposure
  • Development and management of plans and training
programs including; lock out/tag out, hazardous
waste reduction, emergency response, hazard
communication (employee right-to-know), spill
response, hearing conservation, and respiratory
  • Routine reporting to government agencies including;
spill reporting, storm water permit reports, sewer
discharge report, state reports, hazardous
waste-activity, community right-to-know reports, air
permit reporting, surface water permit reporting.
  • Non-routine reporting including; special surveys,
company surveys, superfund inquiries, spill
response, customer inquiries, waste manifests,
industry surveys, waste contractor audits.
  • Lead Safety Committee to gain employee involvement.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree and /or related and at least 5 years
of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the corrugated industry, and/or a
general understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products,
particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Six Sigma or other problem solving proficiencies a

  • High level of interpersonal communication and
influence skills.
  • Ability to perform with minimal supervision and
