Description
Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Quality/Testing Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work with a team of business analysts, software developers, system architects, testers, and trainers to develop an enterprise level system. The position is located in Providence, RI and reports to the Project Director. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health IT, Health and Human Services operating unit, an organization that serves the IT needs of state and local governments. The selected candidate will oversee and manage the development, modification, application, and maintenance of standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures. This individual will conduct software inspection, testing, verification and validation.
They will implement software development and maintenance processes and methods. The successful candidate will ensure measures meet acceptable reliability standards. They will develop overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives. This individual will ensure that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract. They will review software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews will include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. This individual will perform or direct verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct supervision/management of staff.
This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player. Some travel is required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degrees in information technology or a related field
3-5 years experience directly managing software developers
Minimum 5 years testing management experience
Minimum 2 years experience
planning, scheduling and managing
test phases for large scale government eligibility
applications
.
Ability to communicate effectively with project staff and customers to solve complex issues
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with and knowledge of human services programs
Experience with automated testing tools
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Experience with IT Project Development Lifecycle
Knowledge of Project Planning tools such as Microsoft Project
