Work with all appropriate departments and subsidiaries to ensure field product quality information and data is correct, properly presented and corrective actions are generated, analyzed, are effective and communicated to the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned
  • Develop, maintain and facilitate a global field reporting system
  • Work with current data collection systems to gather field related data
  • Hold bi-weekly field activity meetings with various departments to maintain company awareness and establish corrective actions
  • Interact with Weber subsidiaries as they relate to field quality to gather information and provide feedback to them on corrective actions
  • Support R & D and Engineering requirements for new and current designs as they relate to field activity and assist in FMEA when required
  • Maintain all documents and database for internal corrective actions
  • Interface with all affected departments to obtain corrective action for open internal corrective action reports
  • Assist in the analysis and the performance of corrective actions as they may relate to personal knowledge or expertise
  • Report on all corrective action activities for all associated departments
  • Work with Customer Dealer Service Returns group during the process of corrective action
  • Work with Supplier Quality if corrective actions require supplier activity and SCAR’s
  • Review corrective actions after follow-up period has occurred to insure that corrective actions that have been put in place remain effective
  • Occasionally travel to locations where field issues have occurred to gather additional information

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field, five years experience in Quality Assurance or Manufacturing
Other Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of gas combustion products a plus
  • Familiarity with corrective action or complaint based systems desired
  • Familiarity with Weber products desired
  • Experienced with using MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
  • Must be willing to multi task in a fast pace environment
  • Must be willing to travel
