The Consultant is responsible for leading quality and testing activities for small to mid-sized client projects. This includes test case management, defect management, test plan development, establishing QAT metrics and weekly status reporting. This position works directly with the QAT Lead and/or QAT Consulting Manager to ensure MARQ testing standards and guidelines are followed by the project team and client expectations are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and perform testing projects by applying MARQ concepts and standards

Apply knowledge of Testing areas (Automation, Performance, Database, Blackbox, Whitebox) to define Test Planning

Works independently to complete testing activities

Collaborates with project team to meet quality objectives

Performs requirements review

Review test cases for compliance to MARQ and Client standards

Plays active role in defect triage

Applies Quality Assurance concepts, and actively collaborates within Magenic QAT Consulting

Execute tests (Manual and Automated)

Creation, maintenance, and execution of the project test plan

Ongoing self-based training in the upcoming Technology as it pertains to testing

Participates in ongoing QAT group activities (Training, recruiting)

Participates in creating career plan dictating their interest and path for personal growth

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

May work on client site for staff augmentation projects

Qualifications - Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer or business related field (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, etc.)

Typically requires 3-4 years of experience and mid-level achievement in one of the MARQ testing areas (Quality, Test Engineering, Test Automation, Performance Testing, Mobile Testing, and Database Testing)

Or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Qualifications - Technical Skills

Ability to Code or write scripts at the database level

Working knowledge of multiple testing tools and technical testing approaches

Has refined testing skills and understanding of technology to perform QAT roles

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Office environment

Majority of the work day is spent sitting

Sight and verbal communication skills required

Computer/mouse/phone work daily

Ability to travel to client sites unassisted
