Purpose of Position:
This is a management level position responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a quality management/quality improvement system consistent with the overall philosophy and practices of the agency. This position will be involved in all areas of recruiting, hiring, and supervising employees, utilizing data, forecasting, and planning and organizing program structures and processes to assure efficient operations and quality services. This position will be called to work collaboratively with other Managers as well as with Executive level staff and the larger workforce.
Essential job duties :
- Coordinate and oversee a quality management system which might include: Quality planning and strategies, surveillance, prevention, compliance and corrective action management, process quality, service delivery quality, improvement initiatives, CQI experience, quality systems management, data collection, analysis and reporting, cost of quality - concepts, analysis and reporting
- Directly supervise staff assisting in quality assurance/quality improvement activities
- This position provides education, expertise and leadership in implementing quality and best practices across the organization.
- Ongoing professional development in the areas of quality, safety and peer review is integral to the position.
