Position Overview

The Core Products QA team performs model validations of financial loss numbers and physical parameter outputs, for all AIR Worldwide’ s peril and financial models. The Core Products Group designs test cases and prototype applications using mathematical and numerical tools and techniques, in order to validate our model outputs and their impact on client portfolios and strategies.


Members of the Core Products Team uses their statistical, mathematical and financial knowledge to design and build test cases and processes, model validation strategies and applications, to ensure that model outputs are released with the highest standard and detailed benchmark metrics. Findings and results are presented to stake holders for review of impact on model releases, client portfolio numbers, and our overall QA/QC company process. Membership on this team is ideal for professionals with solid theoretical and technical computing mathematical and numerical skills, which can be applied within the financial and insurance industries.
Specifically you will
Be responsible for statistical and mathematical data analytics and associated software data manipulations to validate model outputs
Develop data analytics and model QA tools for internal use
Prepare analytics reports and technical documents


Working experience with SQL, statistical and mathematical software packages, or generally with analytical software.
Programming skills to include numerical, scientific and databases programming
Proven analytical and problem solving quantitative abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong attention to detail.
Education and Experience
MS degree in any of applied math & statistics, quantitative finance & economics, applied actuarial science, or software engineering plus a minimum of 3 years applicable work experience with preference towards re/insurance and financial industries.
