The Quality Assurance Specialist will apply their knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to software development activities to meet project requirements. The level of success or failure will be based upon the level of immersion in the project. Specifically, the Quality Assurance Specialist must become intimately familiar with the project, the customer, and the technical project team to ensure that engineering activities support project goals and customer success criteria.
The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible to:
Collect and interpret customer needs and requirements.
Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems through information gathering and analysis activities
Manage and coordinate testing efforts across multiple platforms.
Design test plans, use cases, scripts, or procedures.
Knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle
Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
Evaluate testing programs that address areas such as impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
Create and maintain capacity planning information.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
Minimum of two years of quality assurance-related experience
Experience with industry standard project management tools
Experience with document publishing and records management in Microsoft SharePoint
Strong analytical, planning, problem solving, and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Consulting experience a plus
Must have an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE
Must be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS
Education & Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience desired
