Busy A/V company seeking a Quality Control Tech to perform minor repairs & maintenance in a fast paced office. Primary equipment of Tape/disc or HDD based highend broadcast video recorder but not limited to.
Ability to Troubleshoot analog or digital equipment down to the component level
Thorough knowledge on maintaining and trouble shooting various video tape/disc HDD machines (HDCAM-SR, D5, DVCPRO-HD, XDCAM-HD, AJA-Kipro, Doremi, and more)
Ability to use oscilloscopes, waveform/vector scopes and other test equipment
Assist and take phone calls from affiliates and clients in order to resolve problems
Ability to work independently on assignments and report back on progress
Ability to develop and implement proactive procedures
Maintain database or reports on preventative maintenance assignments
Hands-on installation or fabrication of materials for new or modification projects
Ability to install cabling and equipment, interpret wiring diagrams and drawings used in the design of new installations
Minimum Requirements: Two year degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) and/or 3 to 5 year equivalent experience in TV broadcast/centralcasting environment or equivalent knowledge of the field.
-Individual may be required to lift heavy objects.
-Ability to work long hours to potentially include weekends
