In order to maintain our growth and continue serving our customers with excellent service, our Recruiting Team searches for the best and brightest in their field. We are seeking Bench Inspectors to fill our expanding Quality Assurance Department. Bench Inspectors report to the Quality Assurance Manager and contribute to all compliance activities. Please note, Acero Precision is ISO 13845 and 9001 certified.
Daily operations include, but are not limited to:
The Bench Inspector's overall purpose is to maintain the company’s high production standards through continuously improving methods of inspection and standard operating procedures.
The Bench Inspector's will also assist the Quality Assurance Manager in implementing and maintaining ISO certifications, NCR’s, Gage and Instrument Calibrations and Customer Audits.
In addition, he/she shall:
Understand blueprint standards including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing symbols and measurement procedures.
Act on behalf of the customer to audit and maintain the accuracy and timely delivery of their products.
Ensure that First Article Inspections, (FAI’s), are performed in a timely manner throughout the day.
Make sure that Roving Inspections are done at all work stations on a routine daily basis and results are reported back to the cell.
See to it that Final Inspections are done in a thorough manner and in accordance with shipping requirements and production scheduling.
Inspect materials, products, and equipment to find defects and implement corrections.
Generate Non-Conforming Reports, (NCR’s), to notify employees of production errors. Per SOP this is to be done within 48 hrs of initiation of the NCR as this is a time sensitive document.
Make sure that inspection equipment and gages at each work station are correct and properly calibrated according to work piece requirements
High school diploma required.
Three years prior Quality Control experience in a metal working environment.
Willing to work 40 or more hours weekly.
Basic computer knowledge. Familiarity with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
BS or AS Degree
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control
Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines
Certification or specialized training
