The Data Analyst will serve as a core member of the Quality Department at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and will support improvement projects that drive clinical and operational quality in oncology care. The Data Analyst will work with a team of clinical and administrative leaders on a regular basis, and will work closely with front-line staff on specific projects, serving as a primary resource for the collection and analysis of clinical data. This is a grant-funded position with up to 3 years of funding.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports quality improvement projects and initiatives
Serves as a technical expert in the analysis of all data related to assigned projects
Assists in identifying relevant sources of data; planning data collection; basis statistical analysis, interpretation, and presentation of results
Assess gaps or errors in data and address appropriately
Collaborate on data requirements, presentation development and communicates regularly with team stakeholders and executive sponsors about project progress
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Superior quantitative analytical skills using statistical software
Ability to learn new systems quickly
Experience in healthcare organizations
Ability to have respectful and productive relationships with professional disciplines
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated effectiveness as a team member
Excellent written, presentation, and oral communication skills
BA or BS, and Master’s Degree required. At least 2 years of data analysis experience in healthcare setting highly preferred.
