To support the Operations Department's mission to be the center of operational excellence delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction by focusing on continuous improvement activities and root cause problem solving
Lead problem solving teams focused on driving continuous improvements
Provide training to cross functional teams in the use of quality tools and root cause problem solving
Provide direct floor support for assembly and molding production teams
Support the Purchasing Department by coordinating with Supplier Quality Engineers on supplier related issues
Lead/Support advanced quality planning for New Product Development projects
Support the generation of manufacturing metrics and improvement plans
Support company wide Lean initiatives by participating in Kaizen events and other related projects and activities
Support strategic planning initiatives
Required Skills
Working knowledge or direct experience with Lean tools implementation, 5S, Six Sigma green/black belt
Training of cross functional teams
Project leadership
Strong communication skills
Statistical process control
DOE leadership experience
Ability to use Microsoft Office software applications
Required Experience
4 year technical degree
Minimum of 3-5 years quality engineering experience in a production environment (assembly manufacturing)
Proven track-record for root cause problem solving
