Job Summary

The Quantitative Model Analyst is a key role in the consumer finance business in that this position will be responsible for managing the quantitative modeling function of the consumer business. Quantitative modeling will revolve around consumer receivable modeling from a predictive standpoint, fair value model management and with ultimate goal of creating predictive score cards for business implementation and fair value calculation. In addition the role will also be responsible for quantitative modeling of servicing performance for maximization of servicing effectiveness from a resource manage can cash collection maximization.

Essential Functions

• Provide quantitative modeling support and actuarial/statistical assessment of consumer receivable risk.
• Develop origination and servicing scorecards for management of risk within the portfolios and manage origination risk impact to the businesses..
• Data mine existing portfolios for correlations on performance based on loan, counterparty and program attributes.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the company
• Manage all fair value models
• Standardize all consumer risk model and move projection process to the loan level.
• Develop and maintain in house or third party obtained scoring models.

Job Requirements and Qualifications


• BS/BA in Statistics or Math. Master’s degree preferred.


• 7 years of progressive experience in consumer receivables quantitative modeling with supplemental experience in the insurance or heath care receivables

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Considerable knowledge of consumer loan performance reporting with an emphasis on Insurance or health care a plus.
• Flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel
• Advanced analytical skills and able to manage large amounts of data
• Solid understanding of credit markets
• Flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment
• Proficient knowledge of financial modeling and data analysis with a focus on improving decision making
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate financial information to non-accountants
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, policies and proposals in a highly effective and efficient manner
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage workload and to instill a sense of urgency in others as necessary to meet deadlines
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever changing environment. Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities to meet deadlines on short notice
