The Faithful+Gould office in Portland OR is currently seeking candidates with Quantity Surveying and Estimating experience on large industrial projects for a client project in Hillsboro, OR.

All candidates must have current US work authorization to work for any US employer without requiring sponsorship now or at any time in the future or you will not be considered for these positions.

You will be preparing cost estimates for mechanical and process piping projects and providing business support to senior staff completing pricing and benchmarking research and maintaining project documents and files in an organized manner.

Job Details

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in construction, quantity surveying, engineering or other related discipline and a minimum of 4+ years mechanical or piping estimating experience in a construction, manufacturing, or similar environment.

Required Skills:
Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Project.

Experience working in demanding environment with the ability to balance multiple tasks and display analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to work with a multitude of project team members and experience in customer relations

Strong oral and written communication skills

Must have working knowledge of electronic takeoff including CAD Measure, and working knowledge of a commercially available construction cost estimating system.

Experience with databases, and web-based applications is highly desired.

Strong self-organization with emphasis to detail, self-initiation and follow through

Strong professional, interpersonal skills, must be highly articulate and have a clear and analytical approach to problem solving.

A professional designation such as RICS, CCE, CCM, AIA, PE, ASPE, CVS, AVS, LEED AP or similar is desired.

The role is based at one of the largest semi-conductor project sites in Hillsboro, Oregon. The candidate is to be mindful of working within a client environment and maintaining a professional demeanor.
