This is a hands-on position directing a cross-platform professional newsroom generating content for a non-student audience, yet produced mostly by undergraduate students. Thus, this is a job that requires several different skills: strong news judgment and management experience, an affinity for teaching and mentorship, and deep knowledge of established and emerging platforms. This person will serve as leader of an operation that provides high quality information as both a public service ( NPR and PBS affiliates) and commercial enterprise (TV, radio and web). Oversee production of the news, weather and sports content created in the Integrated News Facility and related digital assets/platforms.
