This is specialized recreational work of an instructional nature.
Under the supervision of the Recreation Programmer, the Water Aerobics Instructor is responsible for providing effective programming in the area of Water Aerobics Instruction. The Instructor will conduct water aerobic exercises using delta bells, therabands, and a variety of other water fitness equipment.
The Water Aerobics Instructor is also responsible for promoting and supporting the vision and core values of the City of Fort Lauderdale while teaching and interacting with patrons, volunteers, and staff.
NOTE : Instructors are classified by experience and knowledge.
- Possess a valid American Red Cross C.P.R. for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid Certificate.
- United States Water Fitness Association Certification or equivalent preferred.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification or equivalent preferred.
