This position is responsible for all sales activity within a pre-defined geographic region and is responsible for several key functions. First, they will be responsible for prospecting within their territory for new prospective clients. Second, progress prospects through the established TransUnion sales cycle and inevitably close business. Third, work with appropriate TransUnion representatives, insuring all clients within the region are being serviced properly. This position is considered to be the person in charge of all new business opportunities taking place within their region and will be held accountable for all regional objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Obtain all annual goals – orders and revenues
  • Maintain consistent prospecting activity within region.
  • Responsible for qualifying prospective clients.
  • Attend trade shows as directed.
  • Participate in local, regional and national healthcare associations to enhance brand recognition and leverage contacts into prospective clients.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation of our sales process and ongoing prospective client interaction through corporate InTouch (salesforce.com), including updating Client profiles and contacts as required.
  • Responsible for progressing prospects through our complete sales process.
  • Responsible for conducting site assessments and thereby identifying areas of need for prospective clients.
  • Responsible for conducting slide show presentations and viewing product demos for prospective clients.
  • Responsible for completing and communicating Win/Loss reports to appropriate management staff.
  • Responsible for providing suggestions for new sales opportunities regarding new software and/or services to appropriate management staff.
  • Sell additional solutions where applicable.
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of request for proposals (RFPs).
  • Responsible for coordination and management of POC (Proof of Concept) engagements
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications

    A BS or MS degree in health administration, finance, economics or related field is a plus. Previous experience in hospital financial administration, with an emphasis on Revenue Cycle Management a plus. Previous Patient Financial Services experience a plus. 2 to 3+ years of sales experience in the provider Revenue Cycle Management market or related healthcare/life sciences field highly recommended. Track record of large value solution sales (in excess of $500K contracts) is a plus.

  • Successful sales experience and track record to C-Level executives within the IDNs, hospitals, and large physician practices.

  • Experience in contract and renewal negotiations.

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple prospective clients through sales process.

  • Application software experience.
