Performs various clerical duties such as sorting correspondence, filing, photocopying and scanning and indexing documents. Distributes all incoming department mail and maintains printers. Works with Accounting to order and distribute office inventory and supplies, boxes and indexes for storage. Printing, mailing and tracking of appeals packets for the NIC and the CRC Appeals Nurses (CRCPRINTXX and DCMPRINTXX control ID's)

Logs, researches and works returned checks. Reviews for voids, escheats or reissues. Responsible for resolving accounts on the Unclaimed Property Report (Escheat)

Assists with follow-up activities related to patient, guarantor and insurance company correspondence and returned refund checks. Responsible for research and review of zero balance accounts with correspondence. Works IMMS Vendor Holds (emails and VIMMS) and Vendor Denied accounts. Prepares Vendor Add-Change-Delete form and provides W2 and Stark form to Finance

Works IMMS Vendor Holds (emails and VIMMS) and Vendor Denied accounts (X97) for CCAU-prepares Vendor Add-Change-Delete form and provides W2 and Stark form to Finance. Prepares and distributes pertinent reports to Manager and Supervisor.

Maintains exceptional service to customers and client accounts through accurate, timely, relevant, and quality work efforts of all inventory. This would include billing, account reconciliation, update internal/external systems and posting various types of transactions.

Drives inquiries from customers and clients towards resolution

Informs management of operational issues impeding performance or satisfaction including but not limited to those impacting the customer, client, or the company

      Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) §

      Proficient understanding of business service functions including billing, collections and insurance. §

      Exceptional Customer Service skills

      EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE §

      High school education or the equivalent §

      1 - 2 years' experience in hospital billing/collections, Customer Service, or administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred
