Analyze, design, develop, integrate, test and document command sequences for science instrument operations, including spacecraft pointing and supporting operations development and tracking tools; prepare technical documentation and reports; present results to management and customers; work with government, industry and other SwRI staff in creating designs or solving technical problems; assist in the preparation of white papers, proposals, and promotional presentations.

Requires a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other applicable technical degree with at least a 3.3 GPA and 2+ years experience in computer programming and space mission and/or science operations. Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and problem solving skills; must have knowledge of and up to 5 years experience in computer programming and space mission and/or science operations; solid skills in Microsoft Office Products – especially Excel and PowerPoint required; knowledge and ability to use scripting (such as Python), programming (C/C++) languages, and database development tools is strongly desired; knowledge and ability to use STK also highly desired.

Note: Work assignment is in Boulder, Colorado.
