Work as a project leader; maintain working relationships with clients; plan, coordinate and be financially responsible for projects; summarize test data and prepare written reports; interact with technical, support and professional staff; recommend/specify/oversee lab testing; prepare proposals and quotes; travel and present findings at technical conferences; perform basic and applied research on topics related to commercial and military use of fuels and lubricants.
    Requires a BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science with at least a 3.25 GPA with 0 - 7 years of experience. Knowledge of organic/analytical chemistry is required; knowledge of analytical instrumentation (e.g. FTIR, GC/MS) and the ability to interpret results is required; knowledge of materials and material testing is a plus; knowledge of petroleum-related testing is a plus; experience in liquid filtration is a plus; proficiency in MS Office applications is required; must have good written, verbal and presentation skills; must be willing and able to frequently interact directly with demanding clients and work flexible hours when needed; must be a strong self-starter, organized and able to work well with others; must be able to multi-task between different projects and work independently with minimal supervision; must be able to provide direction to laboratory staff. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
