This position will be responsible for maintaining cultured cell lines used in experiments. This includes maintaining stock cell cultures, seeding cell lines for experiments, freezing down cells in liquid nitrogen, keeping a log of cell lines, preparing culture media, sterilizing supplies. The position will assist senior laboratory staff in conducting drug cytotoxicity assays using cultured cancer cell lines and various anticancer agents and in formatting the result for presentation at laboratory meetings. The position is also responsible for various housekeeping duties, including maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, keeping the laboratory areas safe and clean, disposing of biohazard materials, washing glassware, keeping inventory or chemicals and supplies, and ensuring liquid nitrogen cryotanks are maintained at proper levels. Computational work: using Word, Exel, and PowerPoint. Maintaining a neat, up to date, detailed laboratory notebook is essential.
The ideal candidate should have experience in human cell culture under sterile, defined conditions; accurate pipetting; experience in molar solution chemistry and mathematics; good writing, reading, and conversational skills in English.
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in biological sciences is desired.

Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
