Compensation: $28,000 - $35,000


Job Summary:
Responsible for effectively managing all daily operations of a store. Is expected to lead team members in guest service, staffing, sales building, profitability, safety, sanitation, loss prevention, monitoring of cost of goods, community relations and the compliance with regulatory agencies. Will teach and support The HoneyBaked Ham Company’s Mission, Vision and Core Values ensuring high standards of guest service and quality brand products.

Primary Duties:
Guest Service

Ensure that exceptional service to our guests remains a competitive advantage. This will be accomplished by demanding that The HoneyBaked Ham Company’s Team Members adhere to the Service Commitment and are the best at hosting, educating, anticipating and fulfilling each individual guest’s needs.
Maintain guest confidence in The HoneyBaked Ham Company by providing expert knowledge of each product being offered.


Effectively oversee the profit and loss performance of any assigned location(s).
Recruit and hire the most qualified candidates to fill store positions.
Enforce policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate personnel and timekeeping records.
Effectively set up and maintain the Retail Management System (RMS).
Effective use of P.A.C.E. (Profit after Controllable Expenses)
Efficient use of labor and ability to control labor costs.

Sales Building

Lead and motivate Team Members to achieve sales that meet or exceed company/market goals.
Institute and encourage sales building activity.

Team Member Development

Develop self-sufficient & high performance Team Members who have a passion for the business.
Create a work environment that is dynamic and opportunistic for all.

Secondary Duties:
Self Development

Seek additional ways to enhance personal development that is mutually beneficial to the individual and The HoneyBaked Ham Company.
Constantly & measurably improving.

Facility Maintenance

Ensure that regular preventive maintenance is done to maintain a clean, consistent, & safe appearance.
Ensure that unexpected facility or equipment repairs are made in a timely manner while being fiscally responsible.

Qualifications/ Requirements/ Certifications:
Goal-oriented, dedicated to results individual who enjoys leading others.
1-3 years of restaurant, retail or café managerial experience (or equivalent education).
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Required.
Must be able to effectively manage all Departments during peak seasons (required to move from MIT to Assistant Manager position).
Become ServSafe Certified.
Driver Certified.

Knowledge and Skills:
Clear written and verbal skills.
Working knowledge of Excel, Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
Aptitude to learn, use, and teach various software applications.
Analytical skills that support problem solving and useful interpretation of data.
Ability to work on a cross functional team.
Must be able to help prepare and interpret sales data, forecasting reports, financial reports and provide analysis.
Ongoing knowledge of government regulations and guidelines (ADA, Affirmative Action, EEOC, FMLA, Minimum Wage, I-9, Federal & State Tax Forms).
Comfortable with the preparation and delivery of corrective counseling forms.
Comfortable with problem solving and conflict resolution.
Planning skills.
Help to promote and fulfill the vision and goals of the Store Manager for the store.

May need to lift up to 75 lbs several times during a typical workday
Hot and cold environments
Frequent hand washing

Standing for several hours
Use of hands or fingertips to hold or feel
