Our Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of push' and pull' marketing events that both drive new users to the shooting sports category and help increase the buying rate of current users as well as analyzing and interpreting internal and external marketing data to provide ideas, opportunities and solutions for the Marketing organization with specific focus on the analysis of retailer Point of Sale (POS) data. This position will work closely with manufacturer marketing personnel and select retailers in creating compelling customer-centric campaigns and programs. This position will serve as an advisor to retailers with marketing, branding and promotion needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Advise retailers how to market, brand and successfully promote their business.
Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services that meets business goals based upon client discussions.
Improve client utilization and product/service adoption rates of key AcuSport Marketing (CustomerLink) solutions (e.g. AdVantage marketing tool) by identifying and leveraging new opportunities with retailers & manufacturers.
Lead internal monthly retailer promotions meetings aimed at capturing manufacturer co-op dollars. Assess current process and implement appropriate improvements.
Develop and manage administrative budgets that support Retailer and Consumer promotions/events.
Monitor industry activity to capitalize on new trends and opportunities.
Develops, prepares and distributes scheduled reports (monthly, weekly, etc)
Analyzes and interprets information and provides the results and recommendations to internal and / or external clients.
Generates and communicates ideas, opportunities and solutions based on marketing & POS data.
Utilizes technology to provide internal customers with a fast, accurate, and secure method of gaining access to relevant information.
Works closely with Merchandising, Sales and IT to review and analyze performance and fill rates for retailers and manufacturers.
Provides general analytical advice and assistance to internal customers.
Works closely with Regional Sales Managers to ensure necessary reporting and analytical information is available.
Build rapport among retailers and manufacturers.
Communicate activities and results to senior management.
Other projects as assigned.

Must be highly proficient in use of Excel including Pivot Tables & V-Lookups.
Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
Excellent oral and written skills are necessary. Able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers and contacts including retailers and manufacturers.
Able to work under tight deadlines and be flexible and adaptive.
Possess a high degree of proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, or 3-5 years of experience in a related position with 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, data extraction, and report building.
Retail and/or supply chain experience preferred.
Experience with syndicated POS (point of sale) data preferred.
AS400 experience preferred.
Experience in collaborative forecasting preferred
Interacting and communicating with internal and external customers
Some travel throughout the US to visit with retailers and manufacturers is expected. Travel the first year would be approximately 10%.
