Job Description:
Install, terminate, test and document RF Coaxial & Ethernet Connections, Single Mode Fiber Optic Connections, RF & Optical Passives, RF Amplifiers, Laser Transmitters and Receivers commonly used in CATV HFC networks. Prior experience terminating large volumes RF coaxial connections is preferred.

Must be able to work in tight spaces that are cold and very sensitive to electro-static discharge and physical contact with electronic equipment. Constant use of hand tools such is required.

Performs work involving installation, test, and maintenance of communications systems in an MTC or Headend environment or Hub. Systems involve MTC network elements including alternate access, telephony services, transmission and distribution systems, Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) network, Commercial Business Services, advance services, and other voice grade and high capacity services.

Installs, maintains, provisions, checks, and adjusts Headend/MTC equipment including high-speed data communications, advance services, networking and other equipment.

Analyze and troubleshoot telephony problems for quick resolution in conjunction with Network Operations Center.

Implement work order and coordinate installation, test, and acceptance with field systems technicians to ensure customer acceptance of circuits and services.

Acts as a primary liaison with other departments, vendors, customers, and interconnection activities to correct error conditions.

Ensures transmission and distribution equipment and active cable plant meet Cox, franchise, and FCC standards.

Responsible for ensuring installation, documentation, and turn-up of circuits and equipment conform to engineering standards
