Our Emergency Department is the region's Level 3 Trauma Designated facility, caring for more than 57,000 patients each year. You will have current BLS and CPR certification and you will need ACLS within 3 months of hire and PALS or ENPC, and TNCC within 12-months of hire. One year as RN on a hospital nursing unit is preferred.

The Charge Nurse I functions under the supervision of the Department Director/Assistant Director. The Charge Nurse I assures provision of care to an assigned patient population in a professional manner, utilizing the nursing process and principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other health team members. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.



1. Minimum experience of one year as an RN in an Emergency Department
2. Must possess current BLS certification upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment
3. ACLS within 3 months of hire
4. PALS or ENPC/TNCC within 12-months of hire
5. CEN Preferred
