Under the general supervision of the Director of Emergency and Trauma Services, the registered nurse identifies and implements nursing interventions that have less predictable outcomes and evaluates the results of those interventions. The Registered Nurse functions as a member of the emergency care team.
A. Current licensure in the State of Texas as a Registered nurse.
B. Minimum of 1 year experience or must have completed a clinical rotation in an ER setting.
C. Current verification of competency in BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS through the American Heart Association.
D. PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of employment.
E. TNCC required within 6 months of employment.
F. CEN preferred.
