Responsibilities of this position include:|
Assessing, planning, evaluating and implementing nursing care for a specified group of patients within the guidelines, objectives and policies of the Patient Care Services Department
Work cooperatively with health care team members to maintain established standards of care
Assisting in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient's physical condition
Keeping abreast of changing techniques in critical care nursing and maintaining a high level of expertise in critical care
If you possess the following, please apply:
1-3 years of Critical Care experience
Experience in caring for the post-op open heart surgical patient
Must have expertise in recognizing complications in the critically ill patient
Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, sit, stand for long periods of time. Frequently lifts, pulls, pushes and moves various weights (patients and equipment). Requires manual dexterity for operating equipment and supplies
Visual Requirements: Must be able to see charts, read numbers from a distance, and read small print and have visual dexterity to work with computers.
Hearing Requirements: Must be able to complete assessments using a stethoscope, hear on the phone and hear general conversation
Working Conditions: Clinical floor
