Care of patients pre, intra and post-procedure setting. |
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri; knowledge of electronic monitoring devices; PALS and ACLS certifications and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
Two years of ICU/CCU experience in arrhythmia and hemodynamic monitoring of patients in an acute-care setting is preferred.
ACLS & PALS certification
Experience with pediatric patients preferred
Performs ongoing assessment, plan and implement the care of the patient. Initiates healthcare education with patient/family/significant other to facilitate the Interventional Radiology procedure. Responsible for the function, trouble-shooting and improvising of various equipment utilized for Interventional Radiology cases. Provides assistance to other healthcare staff both professional and non professionals in the Radiology Department. Demonstrate competency in advanced psychomotor skills. Direct staff in safety management issues. Act as a resource in emergency situations. Use knowledge base to recommend changes in structure or process standards.
Evaluate own knowledge and skills and develop a plan for professional growth. Contribute to the planning and implementation of unit educational activities. Recognize potential risk management problems and take appropriate action. Participate in activities to meet unit, service and divisional goals. Direct unit quality assurance activities. Direct nursing staff in unit research/evaluation projects. Act as a resource in the organization of patient and unit activities. Identify issues impacting unit and offer suggestions for resolution. Demonstrate guest relation skills consistently.
