Developing, implementing and evaluating age-appropriate plans of nursing care, you will need to be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Texas RN license. Current BLS, plus ACLS within 6 months of hire.

1. An RN currently licensed by the State of Texas, with recent critical care experience, min of 1 year.
2. Current BLS certification up hire/promotion and maintain certification throughout employment.
· Current ACLS upon hire/promotion.
· CCRN preferred.
· Pass EKG, Blood Gas analysis and Basic Knowledge Assessment Test #6 (BKAT-6) with a score of 85%, upon completion of didactic orientation program. Employee will have two chances to pass exams with remediation material available
· Experienced critical care Nurse Is may test out of didactic orientation with a score of 85% on the Gas analysis and BKAT-6 exam
· 100% score on medication test – Employee will have two chances to pass exam with remediation material available
· Satisfactory return demonstration of competencies required for critical care specific processes and equipment on hire and annually.
**Employment is dependent upon passing the above exams and competencies.
