Completion of an accredited associate, baccalaureate or master’s degree program in Nursing. Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota. CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers required.
Knowledge of current nursing practices and techniques. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Ability to effectively participate on an interdisciplinary treatment team. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, family member and co-workers.
Patients on C9300 are in the rehabilitation stage of their illness. Patients areadmitted from general patient care areas, other hospitals or facilities and occasionally direct from the ICU. Our mission is to assist patients in becoming as independent as possible in all areas of daily living by providing a continuum of effective, efficient and culturally sensitive rehabilitation services.
Our rehabilitation patient care unit delivers care to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with limitation in physical or cognitive function. Examples of patients’ diagnoses that are admitted to our unit include: cerebral vascular accident (CVA), spinal cord injury (SCI), traumatic brain injury (TBI), multipletrauma, amputation, and neurological disabilities.
BSN preferred, Acute Rehab Experience preferred. Obtain CRRN after one year referrred
