We are looking for Arkansas licensed RN's to perform all required trauma auditor functions for the assigned regions of Arkansas. This position is based in Little Rock, AR. Responsibilities will include:
  • Annual on-site review of designated trauma centers.
  • Attending the Quality Improvement/TRAC Sub-committee of the TAC and TRAC meetings in assigned regions.
  • Identifying educational needs based on performance improvement data.
  • Participating in training activities for trauma care providers.

DUTIES

  • Ability to analyze findings in such a way as to create statistical reports regarding performance measures.
  • Ability to report aggregate performance measures to facilities in a timely fashion and in an ADH approved format.
  • Ability to report aggregate performance measures to regional and statewide advisory councils and staff members at ADH.
  • Ability to work with medical directors of EMS agencies and hospitals to obtain medical information when opportunities for improvement in patient care are identified.
  • An understanding of trauma performance improvement and root cause analysis review.
  • Must be able to produce high quality completed work products.
  • Must be able to maintain a customer driven process.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required.
  • Two (2) or more years of clinical trauma care experience and/or certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Experience with application of injury severity score (ISS) coding required.
  • Completion of the Society for Trauma Nursing's TOPIC course within six (6) months of hire.
  • Background in UR and/or QI experience preferred.
  • Experience using basis statistics helpful.
  • Knowledge of medical record, ICD-9-CM and CPT coding principals.
  • Knowledge of medical Utilization Review (UR) and Quality Improvement (QI) concepts.
