The Emergency Department Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated emergency nursing care and all related clinical activities for an assigned patient and or group of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric age groups In accordance with national standards for nursing practice and within the guidelines and policies and procedures of both Emory Adventist Hospital and the Georgia State Board of Nursing, the Emergency Department Nurse is responsible for the provision of consistent quality care through the utilization of the nursing process, established standards of care and protocols, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration The Emergency Department Nurse will be skilled in caring for patients throughout the continuum of emergency care including patient triage and assessment, treatment and interventions, medication administration, ongoing evaluation, diagnoses and admission, discharge, or transfer *CB*
Current RN license in the State of Georgia BLS, ACLS PALS within one year of hire At least one year of ED nursing experience required
