be available at Cape Canaveral Hospital, Holmes Regional Medical Center, Palm Bay Hospital and Viera Hospital.
All applications must include a cover letter indicating the top 3 clinical areas of interest, hospital preference(s), and a current resume.
Interviews are scheduled to begin soon.
You need only apply for the Nurse Resident position and do not need to apply for other specific RN positions posted (your cover letter will let us know your areas of interest.)
The Nurse Resident is a nurse who has recently graduated from an approved school of professional nursing and
must be licensed as an RN in the state of Florida
verified through Primary Source Verification (PSV).
The Nurse Resident will be expected to complete the Nurse Residency Program, which consists of eight weeks on the Orientation Unit and an additional four weeks on the hiring unit. During this period, while under the supervision of an experienced Registered Nurse Preceptor, the Nurse Resident will render individualized comprehensive care for a group of patients following established standards of practice.
Upon successful completion of the Nurse Residency Program, the Nurse Resident will receive an evaluation and become eligible for entry into a staff nurse position.
•Demonstrates effective communication with other members of the healthcare team and promotes effective team functioning.
•Utilizes Health First computer systems with regard to order entry, order enquiry and patient care documentation.
•Delivers quality patient care under the direction of an experienced Registered Nurse Preceptor utilizing the nursing process.
•Documents all nursing care, change in condition, response to therapy, treatments, procedures and referrals on patient records to meet standards.
•Provides patient, family and/or caregiver education as directed by the Registered Nurse Preceptor.
Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
Currently licensed as RN in state of Florida
Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain
Must hold and maintain other certifications as required by the hiring unit
