Job Description:
Shift: Nights- 10:15 PM - 6:15 AM, Weekends and Occasional overtime required.

Workweek: FT 32hrs/wk

Performs the functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of older adults in a skilled nursing setting. Responsible for directing and giving care, guiding residents and family teaching, and coordinating the activities of other nursing staff. Coordinates the collaboration of the interdisciplinary team in planning resident care.

Formal Education: Associate Degree or certification equivalent

Experience: 3 years

Education Requirements: Knowledge of nursing principles related to the care of the geriatric resident.

Education Desired: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

License Requirements: NYS Registered Professional Nurse

Certification Requirements: BLS required

Skill Requirements: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Patience and understanding of the needs of the elderly. Ability to promote a positive working environment through cooperation and interpersonal relationships with co-workers. Ability to lead and motivate others.
