RN Special Projects - UC Medical Center - Quality/Case Management
To monitor the delivery of timely, appropriate, quality patient care on specific patient populations.To collect and analyze data as required for improvements in the delivery of care and cost efficiencies in this population.Responsible for trending and presentation of this data to appropriate medical staff departments and/or committees.Responsible for working with the hospital and medical staff committees on relevant performance improvement activities.
Registered Nurse, prefer BSN
Years of Experience:
Must have at least two years recent inpatient clinical experience or clinical quality management or auditing experience.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Registered nurse with experience in Utilization Management, Quality Management, Performance Improvement, Medical Records coding and terminology, chart review; auditing or case management preferred. Knowledge of CMS core measure review preferred. Must be able to use clinical judgment to extract pertinent clinical data from the patient record.Must be able to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work independently. Must be able to follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the departmental, hospital and CMS and TJC manuals. Must have knowledge of, and be willing to adhere to, the hospital’s Mission Statement and Customer Relations Philosophy and Standards. Must have experience and knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft applications, and other data management software applications. Knowledge of Midas is preferred. Must demonstrate organizational and communication skills with good attention to detail.Must utilize proper channels of communication and maintain confidentiality at all times
