The Cath Lab RN is responsible for general nursing activities in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, including functioning as the circulating nurse, performing scrub activities and procedure monitoring during cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. Duties also include assistance in pre- and post-procedural patient care.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
· Current RN license
· Current ACLS certification
· Minimum of 1 year experience in Cath Lab, EP Lab, ICU or CCU required
· Current knowledge of ECG monitoring
· On-call responsibilities
· IABP experience preferred
· CCRN or RCIS credential preferred
· Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work as a member of a team or independently, prioritizing activities as needed
