As soon as possible
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of California. One year Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Services Department (ESD) or related critical care experience within past three years preferred. Current ACLS, AHA CPR for healthcare provider or professional certification required at time of hire and PALS required within three months of hire. Completion of crisis prevention training.
The Clinical Decision Nurse performs the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all assigned patients in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) during his/her shift. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for meeting the established standards of nursing practice for managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment in the Clinical Decision Unit and for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.
Heavy: frequent lifting, not more than 100 pounds (with help) and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
