Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and current licensure in the State of California to practice as a Registered Nurse. Current AHA CPR for Healthcare Provider or Professional certification required. Current ACLS, PALS and completion of a Critical Care Course is mandatory. Stroke and Basic EKG class within 6 months of hire required. CCRN certification is recommended. Experience as a staff nurse for one year preferred.
As part of a team, is responsible for managing and providing direct patient care to the critically ill patient experiencing life threatening problems requiring complex assessment, intervention and continuous nursing vigilance. The patient acuity ranges from the very critical to step down level. The age range is from pediatrics to geriatrics. Must be willing to float to HAMS unit.
Lifting Requirements: Heavy: frequent lifting, not more than 100 pounds (with help) and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. There may be prolonged periods of standing, walking, reaching and/or stooping.
