McKesson has a new medical coder career opportunity! We are looking for an experienced Radiation Oncology/Radiology coder to work 50% remotely from home and 50% travel to work onsite at our hospital client locations in the Lowell/Peabody/Burlington, MA areas.

As a certified medical coder with McKesson, you will be responsible for coding Radiation Oncology cases using CPT4 and ICD-9 and knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy. Specifically, you will:
Code and enter data from hard copy or image copy.
Assist with ICD-9 radiology coding
Interact with physicians at onsite locations

Minimum qualifications include:
3+ years' work experience
Minimum of 6 months' coding experience required
Previous Radiation Oncology and Radiology medical coding experience required
Ten-key by touch required/minimum 8,000 to 10,000 kph
Medical terminology and human anatomy
Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT4
Candidate must pass Internal Certification (SCC) Test
Must be able to travel 50% of time to onsite client locations in Lowell, Peabody, and Burlington, MA.

National coding certification preferred (CPC or CCS)
Must possess excellent communication skills
Capable of working well independently with little supervision

High school diploma or equivalent
